The Market will also feature local vendors from the community with handmade goods\, fresh roasted coffee\, delicious baked goods\, veggies\, handcrafted soaps\, exotic starter plants\, gorgeous art and photography\, craft items\, plus unique maritime items inside. Guests can browse inside the free Museum and visit the Lighthouse Gift Shop. In addition\, shoppers and visitors have the unique opportunity to climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking view of the Bay. The Country Farmer’s Market is held every first and third Saturday from 9 am-1 pm at the Crooked River Lighthouse. \nAt 1:00 pm\, join us for a 30 minute plant walk for $5 with Denise Williams local herbalist. Denise will guide guests for this walk around the grounds of lighthouse and point out medicinal plants. Max: 10 people. \nThe Market is open to new and returning vendors. DESCRIPTION:*To keep our residents and tourists safe\, we are following guidelines established by the CDC and canceling this event until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience.*\n\nThe St. Marks Lighthouse Quarters will be open to the public for tours from 10 am to 4 pm on the first consecutive Friday and Saturday of each month.\n\nPrice:\n$2 per person (age 12 and older)\n$5 refuge entrance fee*\n\nTickets are sold at the lighthouse (cash or check only) on the day of the event for specific time slots. Only 15 tickets available per day. Ticket sales stop at 3:30 pm.\n\n*Federal passes must be shown or displayed in the vehicle for entrance to the refuge.\n\nThe St. Marks Lighthouse Keeper’s Quarters has major historical significance and recently underwent a costly renovation. We ask our visitors to please follow these guidelines while taking the tour:\n– Leave pets outside\n– No food or drink while on the tour\n– No wet shoes\, bare feet\, or wet clothing\n– Refrain from handling or removing any display items\n– Climbing the tower is prohibited\n\n\nThe St. Marks Lighthouse tours are run by trained volunteer interpreters. We are continually looking for new volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer\, please contact Ranger Connie Clineman at constance_clineman@fws.gov.

DESCRIPTION:*To keep our residents and tourists safe\, we are following guidelines established by the CDC and canceling this event until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience.*\n\nThe St. Marks Lighthouse Quarters will be open to the public for tours from 10 am to 4 pm on the first consecutive Friday and Saturday of each month.\n\nPrice:\n$2 per person (age 12 and older)\n$5 refuge entrance fee*\n\nTickets are sold at the lighthouse (cash or check only) on the day of the event for specific time slots. Only 15 tickets available per day. Ticket sales stop at 3:30 pm.\n\n*Federal passes must be shown or displayed in the vehicle for entrance to the refuge.\n\nThe St. Marks Lighthouse Keeper’s Quarters has major historical significance and recently underwent a costly renovation. We ask our visitors to please follow these guidelines while taking the tour:\n– Leave pets outside\n– No food or drink while on the tour\n– No wet shoes\, bare feet\, or wet clothing\n– Refrain from handling or removing any display items\n– Climbing the tower is prohibited\n\n\nThe St. Marks Lighthouse tours are run by trained volunteer interpreters. We are continually looking for new volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer\, please contact Ranger Connie Clineman at constance_clineman@fws.gov.

DESCRIPTION:The Crooked River Lighthouse is bringing back their popular Full Moon Lighthouse Climb events starting Sunday\, August 2nd\, from 7-10 pm in Carrabelle\, FL. Visitors can enjoy this opportunity to see the gorgeous natural surroundings of the St. George Sound\, Carrabelle Beach\, and Dog Island\, under the night sky at this special Crooked River Lighthouse evening climb. \nThe Full Moon for August is known as the Sturgeon Moon. Other names for this Full Moon include ”Full Green Corn Moon\,” signaling that the corn was nearly ready for harvest\, “Wheat Cut Moon\,” “Moon When All Things Ripen\,” and ”Blueberry Moon.” (Credit: Farmer’s Almanac). \nAt this month’s event\, visitors will also be able to enjoy the glow of the sunset as well of the moonrise. Visitors can climb to the top of the tallest lighthouse on the Forgotten Coast\, Crooked River Lighthouse\, to see breathtaking views of the bay under the glow of the beautiful setting sun and the rising full moon. Cost is just $8. The museum and gift shop will also be open for guests’ enjoyment. All climbers must be 44 inches tall.
